“WOW – WE DID IT AGAIN!”
Boots & Bar-B-Que “Just For The Fun Of It!” was a
great success once again. If you were not able to
attend this awesome event, we are sorry you missed an
exceptional evening of fun. The Hella Temple welcomed
us back with open arms and the community responded
with a loud “Yee Haw!” Obviously an event of this
magnitude cannot come together without the assistance
of a lot of people. Please join me in giving a big
“thank you” to the “Boots & Bar-B-Que Committee”, with
a special thank you to Michael Gothard for heading up
this rowdy bunch, for all the hard work that they put
into bringing this event to such an wonderful success.

Exchange National Day of Service
Thank you to each of our volunteers that helped man
our booth at the “Scare on the Square.” Kaye Schaum
did a great job of pulling this event together. Of
course, it cannot be done by only one and the
following club members spent their time helping make

“One Nation Under God”
November 20th - Justice Kerry Fitzgerald, 5th District
Court of Appeals, will be our featured speaker at the
“One Nation Under God” luncheon. It will be a great
time to hear him speak on the importance and value of
God, country and freedom during such an appropriate
time and setting. Please plan to attend and bring your
spouse, friend or business acquaintance. If you plan
to attend and/or bring a friend, please contact either
Michael Gothard, Jeff Muessig or Shirley McGuire to
make reservations. We hope all of our members can
arrange your time so you can hear Justice Fitzgerald.

“GISD Mock Legislative”
Special “thank you’s” for club member volunteers that
helped Shirley McGuire turn this event into a
memorable one for the kids! Once again, (courtesy of
Whataburger, member Andy McKenny) prepared the third
annual GISD Mock Legislative "conference" lunch.
Approximately 275 students between 7th –12th grade
participated in this event.
Coca Cola Basketball Program Ad’s
John Driver and Rusty Bryant is putting the Coca Cola
program together for the basketball
tournament and we need advertisers. Bring your ad next
Wednesday and make a commitment to them for
sponsorship in the program. This year the tournament
is Dec. 5, 6, and 7. Ads costs are: business
card---$25, 1/4 page--$40, 1/2 page--$80, and full
page $150. The back cover and the inside front and
back covers are more expensive and currently taken.
“Christmas Is Around The Corner”
December 6th - Christmas shopping party for 63 kids
will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Walmart on 1-90 and Garland
Rd. Please join your fellow club members search for
the perfect gift to put a sparkle in a child’s eye.
December 11th - Christmas gathering for children
hosted by Exchange and Rotary. Hella Temple will again
be our party spot for the children selected. The party
will begin at 11:30 and end around 1:00 p.m. You will
not want to miss this event. The spirit of Christmas
is always present during this wonderful event for the
kids.
December 14th - Exchange Club Christmas party will be
held at Lisa Garner’s home. Spouses and significant
others are invited. (More details later) Mark your
calender.
