Noon Exchange Club of Garland
“Just For The Fun Of It !!”
(POSTPONED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!)
As everyone is now aware, our “Gala” was postponed. We
are happy to inform our membership that we will be
stepping back to the old time favorite “Boots and
Barbeque”. The new date will be November 2nd and our
place will be Hella Temple. Tables are still $300.00
and individual tickets are $35.00. This will include a
full barbeque dinner, margaritas and beer, silent and
live auctions, a “DJ” for dancing (any type of music
you wish to hear), and of course the casino.
We all need to do our part in order to make this the
best dance we've ever had! We need lots and lots of
auction items, see Jeff Muessig. We need lots and lots
of people there with lots and lots of money to spend,
see Michael Gothard.
Everyone should expect at least one phone call from a
Dance Committee member. You'll be asked how can you
contribute to this event!
The committee will meet again next Wednesday after our
regular lunch meeting. If you're interested in
helping, plan to attend or call anyone on the
committee.
Committee Members are: Michael Gothard, Celia Conrad,
Bill Peace, Kaye Schaum, Jeff Muessig, Jeff Tokar,
Shirley McGuire, Jan Furtick, Linda Lupro, Jerry DeFeo,
Jonathan Johnson, Sheilah Bowers or Donna Irwin.

Exchange National Day of Service
October 26th - Our project this year is manning a
booth at the “Scare on the Square.” We will be
fingerprinting the kids and talking about our Exchange
Club and the organizations we help support. We will
need lots of volunteers to help man the booth between
3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. We also need candy for this
event. Please bring a bag of candy or two to donate at
the next Wednesday meeting.
Please contact Kaye Schaum to volunteer for this great
event..
