“Proudly We Hail”
(No symbol better signifies our nation’s greatness
or inspires respect and love of country than our
American Flag – the Stars and Stripes.)
Thank you to the many Exchangite’s that attended the
“Proudly We Hail” program and brought numerous guests.
If you missed it, boy you missed it. The Garland Fire
Department Honor Guard did the presentation of colors.
Our pledge of allegiance was led by a local Boy Scout
troop. Reverend Steve Ellis with Fire and Ice
Ministries led us in our invocation. Bev McNamara
decorated the room with wonderful stars and stripes
balloons giving the event a beautiful and festive
look. It was a great program. Steve Sellers, owner of
the Flag Store, shared many wonderful stories and lots
of flag-related information. Thanks goes out to
Shirley McGuire Piacquadio and Rosie Neely for making
this event a great success.
If you did not attend the program, you will enjoy the
“Flag Quiz” listed below given by Steve Sellers. It
was very informative. Check out your skills and see
