Welcome to our Web site!

Week ending 6-16-03
“Message from our President, Jonathan Johnson!”

Well, they told me the older I got; the faster time would go by. “They” were not joking. It seems like we just started this year and the gala was only yesterday. Looking back, I am amazed at just how much we have done as a club this year.

I think I can speak for all of us when I say it has been a tough year. The economic climate has not showed much sign of improvement…for most. As I know you are all aware, the Defense Industry has taken off over the last 8-10 months. As most of you have noticed, I have missed a few meetings. Fortunately, our President-elect was there to take up the slack. The man that recruited me into Exchange, Don Almquist, told me that this year, serving as President, would be the busiest year of my life. I do not think Don is a prophet, but what he said was certainly prophetic. Like many of you, I have been moving at full speed for a while, with no immediate signs of change.

I want to thank you all for your hard work this year. I would not begin to take an ounce of credit for the success of Noon Exchange this year. I may be the President, but I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some great folks. From the Board of Directors, to all of you that chipped in and gave of your personal time, talent, and resources, this year has exceeded all of our expectations.

This year has exemplified the true meaning of Exchange. We have seen some of our longer-term members become more active than in years past. We have seen many new members not only join, but join in the effort. We have raised the bar on our two key fundraisers, and all the while we did it…..Just For The Fun Of It!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful organization. Although I will not be sitting at the head table next year, I will not be out of sight. Together, I know that we can do even more next year to impact the lives of others within our community.

Installation Banquet

It is time for our annual year-end banquet. The banquet will be held on June 25th at Eastern Hills Country Club. We will not have our regular noon meeting on that date since we are having the banquet in the evening. There will be a cash bar.

Please plan to attend. I know that Michael would want everyone there as he takes the reigns
and leads us into the next year. Great things are in store for this club. Come be a part of this special night for Michael, Susan, and your Board of Directors.

“PROUDLY WE HAIL”

June 18TH is our "Proudly We Hail" ceremony. For those of you
that are not familiar with "Proudly We Hail", this is the time when we honor businesses and individuals that fly the US flag everyday and follow the correct method in doing so. It is always interesting to find out what motivates people to
fly the flag.

Bring a guest to the Proudly We Hail luncheon. Remember, the “Proudly We Hail” luncheon begins at 11:30 instead of the usual 12:00.

The support of Americanism in our community is one of the cornerstone projects of Exchange. It is important to recognize these individuals who fly Old Glory everyday,
simply because they love this country.
